Writing was one of my first loves, along with theatre and dance. As a teenager I was driven by a restless, creative energy. I would stay up late in the night banging out angst-ridden poetry on my typewriter— all lower case, e e cummings style. (Yep, in those days we had typewriters!) Or, I’d feverishly pen play scripts and collaborate on mulitmedia dance pieces performed by the local youth theatre.
Several decades later, I have circled back to embrace the creativity that has always thrummed within me and I am giving myself over to writing fiction, memoir, lyrical essays, poetry and plays.
I am currently a Master of Arts researcher at Griffith University, revelling in the combination of analytical and creative thinking, reading and writing involved in this higher research degree.
